In collaboration with Barajoun Entertainment, the region’s leading animation studio, we were tasked with composing music that balanced cultural authenticity with Nickelodeon’s playful, energetic tone. The sound needed to feel warm and relevant for the season, while instantly recognizable on family-focused networks like OSN, where the idents would air daily throughout Ramadan.
Working frame-by-frame with Barajoun’s animation team, we composed custom music cues using a mix of traditional instruments (oud, daf, ney) and playful melodic elements. Alongside the music, we handled detailed sound design and custom sound effects—adding motion, texture, and personality to every visual movement, from a bouncing lantern to a swirling crescent moon.
We also provided music supervision, making sure every track was aligned with Nickelodeon’s global standards and production requirements. The final mixes were tailored for consistent playback across MBC3 and digital platforms.
Each piece delivered a vibrant, cohesive sonic experience—designed to add delight and energy to every viewing moment.
Airing across millions of homes during Ramadan, the idents became part of daily family viewing across the Arab world. From the musical motifs to the tiniest sound details, the project blended regional storytelling with Nickelodeon’s bold personality—proving that when sound and animation work hand in hand, every second becomes memorable.
